The teams of the Ministry of Digitalisation and the REBUS Forum held a working meeting to coordinate the preparation of the key session, and also discussed cooperation within the main part of the forum.
The session will be held within the framework of the XVI International Economic Forum ‘Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2025’.
The discussion was also devoted to the practical results of the session: accumulation and analysis of key positive practices of the Russian Federation and foreign countries in terms of digital transformation of the construction industry. Based on its results, it is planned to prepare a number of proposals for regions and commercial structures.
Particular attention was paid to attracting experts from India, Malaysia and Qatar, including online participation of representatives of cities with experience in implementing ‘smart cities’ projects.
At the KazanForum session, participants will consider digital cases in construction, legislative initiatives, smart city strategies (using Innopolis and foreign analogues as examples), as well as the role of AI in the industry. Confirmed speakers include State Duma deputy Yaroslav Nilov, Nikolay Parfentyev, Director of the Digital Development Department at the Russian Ministry of Construction, Dmitry Vandyukov, Mayor of Innopolis, and Rajendra Kumar, an architect from India.
Ilya Nachvin noted:
‘The Republic of Tatarstan already demonstrates successful cases, for example, in the housing and utilities sector. Our goal is to scale this experience through dialogue with business and the international community’.
KazanForum 2025: dates and mission
The forum will be held from 13 to 18 May at Kazan Expo IEC under the slogan ‘Trust and Cooperation’. In addition to a session on digitalisation, guests are expected to discuss trade, investment and technological partnerships between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world.
The session ‘Digitalisation as a new standard: transformation of construction and infrastructure in the development of cities and agglomerations’ will take place on 15 May at 10:00 in Kazan, Kazan Expo IEC.
