Maria Yashenkova visited the SWO museum in Kazan: the tour was led by an SWO veteran

Maria Yashenkova, a member of the organising committee of the REBUS Forum, got acquainted with the exposition of the SWOi museum in Kazan, where modern technologies are combined with a deep dive into military topics. The tour was conducted by Ruzel Giniyatullin, a special operation participant who lost his legs but continues to serve the cause of remembrance.
The museum impresses with interactive installations, art objects and recreated locations: visitors are immersed in the atmosphere of the war and the life of the basements where civilians took shelter. The project, initiated by volunteer Andrei Mishenkin, brought together trophies handed over by the fighters. Here the history of the SWO and Donbass since 2014 is presented not as a set of artefacts, but as an emotional experience explaining the need to protect sovereignty.
Maria Yashenkova noted the importance of such spaces for the adaptation of veterans and delivering the truth to guests. It is possible that the museum tours will be included in the programme of the REBUS forum (3-4 July 2025) dedicated to digitalisation and infrastructure. ‘This is a chance to realise that the SWO is not a fad, but a response to threats,’ she emphasised.
