The main problem nodes around which the presentations and discussion at the session ‘ECOLOGY IN AGLOMERATION - ENVIRONMENT AND SOCIAL CARCAS DEVELOPMENT’ will be organised have become known.
These are:
- Preservation of continuity and connectivity, natural and ecological framework, revitalisation of its disturbed elements during agglomeration development;
- Priorities of forming a high quality of life based on proximity to wildlife and reduced density of urban development of the territory;
- Opportunities to preserve biodiversity and reduce environmental impact in the processes of suburbanisation;
- Creation of new park, forest and recreational areas in the middle and peripheral zones of agglomerations;
- Mechanisms and tools for coordinated development of agglomeration municipalities adjacent to its central core;
- Formation of social infrastructure integrated into the natural framework and ensuring people's conservation
The session will be moderated by Alexander Antonov, chief architect of the NIIPI Urban Planning Project.
