Open Federal Competition and Review of Best Practices in Urban Planning on Historic Territories, and the Preservation and Development of Architectural Heritage

"REBUS: Heritage"

Competition 2026
The "REBUS: HERITAGE" Competition brings together those who understand: working with the historic environment requires respect for traditions and boldness in decision-making.

We are looking for projects that prove the new and the old can coexist in harmony. Management concepts that transform the approach to entire settlements. Technologies that protect monuments with millimeter precision. Objects that fit into the historic context without losing their contemporary identity. Renovations that give old walls a new life.

Your project can be included in the federal catalog of best practices and gain recognition at the highest level of the industry.

A Tradition of Excellence: How the REBUS Competition Has Evolved
The REBUS: HERITAGE Competition continues the tradition of annual reviews held as part of the International REBUS Forum

2026
2023
The Forum was first held in Kazan and brought together over 2,000 experts from 50 Russian regions and 15 countries. At that time, as part of the review-competition "Best Development Practices in the Historic Center: Concepts (Strategies) for Development," the best strategies for the development of historic centers were selected in two categories: "Concepts (Strategies) in Development" and "Concepts (Strategies) at the Implementation Stage."
2025
The III International Forum "REBUS: Digitalization. Infrastructure" expanded its reach to 65 regions of Russia and 25 countries. The review-competition "REBUS: Innovations" was dedicated to the digitalization of the construction industry and urban infrastructure. Winners were given the opportunity to present their projects directly to potential buyers — representatives of ministries, development institutions, and venture funds.
2026
The new REBUS: HERITAGE competition preserves the best traditions of previous seasons and opens a new chapter in the Forum's history, placing emphasis on the preservation of cultural heritage as an integral part of sustainable urban development
